App Prototype

Rest & Root is a mock app with the aim to reduce burnout amongst individuals aged 12 and up. Burnout is something that can often begin at a young age due to mismanagement of time, and buid habits that transfer into adulthood as well.

Rest & Root provides a way to validate your achievements while staying on task, and interacting with individuals/communities/professionals that help encourage you to stay on track.

The app is garden themed, so, you can reward your acheivements by spending time on growing, arranging, and collecting flowers. You can also create and send bouqeuts to friends, visit their gardens and leave messages there.

Flowers seeds can be earned by completing tasks, and based on their difficulty you can recieve multiple or a single flower seed. There is a 30 min limit to spending time on gardening as the “game” element should not be another distraction from the tasks, rather a way of cooling down.

Few free guiding or helpful videos can be watched by Individuals to get a professional perspective, and make in-app purchases to contact professionals.
