Collage

The premise of this collage was to replicate Bollywood movie posters from the 1970s, which often had a maximalist style with bold colors.

I utilized photographs and scans I had previously taken of my friends and accessories to layer on top of each other. Using Photoshop I altered the photos and scans to have cohesive colors (blue for the photos and yellow/gold for accessories).

Red is a common bold color used in movie posters from the 1970s, so I decided to add that as a background behind the photos. It provides a visually interesting contrast, without taking away the attention from photos in front.
